【托福單字】字首bene 良好

要記單字很重要的一個觀念是不要死記，
要找個幫助記憶的鉤子（hook），
然而找個好用的記憶鉤子就顯得極為重要。

大原則是：如果有容易記憶的字根、字首，可千萬別放過！
比如說bene 就是個很重要的字首，代表「良好（good）」的意思。
很簡單對嗎？
好的，那來考驗一下，你想得出幾個bene開頭的字呢？

beneficial  (a.)有益的  (通常指事物) e.g. One cup of coffee a day may be beneficial to your health.
benefit (n.) 利益
beneficiary (n.)受益者

很好，還有沒有呢？

beneficent (a.) 慈善的（用來指人）e.g. She is beneficent to the poor.
beneficence(n.)善行 e.g. The scholarships were funded by the beneficence of the alumni.

benevolent (a.)慈善的；仁慈的；善意的（可指人或事情） e.g. a benevolent attitude
benevolence (n.)善行


厲害厲害，再來幾個！

benediction (n.) 祝禱 e.g. The minister gave the benediction at the end of the event.
bene-良好  dict-說    =>合起來就是祝禱啦！

benefaction (n.)捐助 e.g. The college owed much to the benefaction of its financial supporters.
bene-良好  fact-做    =>做好事就是捐助啦！


另外，接近的字還有benign (a.)良性的   benignant (a.)仁慈的、親切的
